Software Distribution

MUCSA distributes a variety of software, both open source and licensed, which is available for collection at the MUCSA office (room 1.18 of the ICT building) at the following scheduled times:

• Mondays between 1pm - 2pm
• Wednesdays between 1pm - 2pm

Microsoft

Through the MSDN Academic Alliance program, MUCSA provides two DVDs for students enrolled in either the CSSE or DIS departments:

• Windows XP Professional + Visual Studio + extras DVD ($10)
• Windows Vista Business DVD ($15)

*Note that the money raised from DVD sales is used to pay for the burning and printing costs associated with distributing the software. All excess money is used to fund food and refreshments for free events that MUCSA hosts for students such as BBQs.

We also have copies of Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007, Visual Studio Express 2005 and XNA Express.

Linux

We have free CDs of Ubuntu Linux 7.04 available.
